One month ago, we began to prepare for the coming competition of cheering squad which is an important event in our department. At first, I still hesitated about whether to join it or not because It was afraid that I couldn't afford the pressure of practicing playing basketball and my schoolwork. Fortunately, I decided to take part in the activity so that I could share the wonderful and perfect achievement with my classmate.
Although I am poor at dancing, I tried my best to memory the dance steps the coach had taught us and to practice making my dance look powerful. What's more, I also had to practice the special skills with other boys to surprise the audience. It was a hard process when we were practicing because we were all unfamiliar with dancing not to mention to the cheering dance. But the progress we had made really encouraged us to pay much time on practice and eased our stress and weary. We first dance without vigor and power, but we could dance neatly and powerfully after we work hard. By the way, we separated all the members into several small groups so that everyone could be taken good care by the leader and have the best effect. I couldn't do the special skill well and didn't finish the action successfully until the day before the competition, even though I spent the extra time practicing it. Eventually, we performed well without mistakes on the competition day which was so pleased us. No matter whether we would get prize or not, it's worthy. At the moment announcing that we are the top six of seventeen participating teams, I could hardly believe it and I screamed excitedly for at least five minutes. Some classmates also cried happily.
Because the majority is girl in our department, we couldn't do so much difficult and complex skills like others. So the only way to make us success is our orderly dance, the variation of our formation, and the creativity. Our great effort did finally be seen, and get the forth prize in this competition. This prize not only proves our hardworking but also brings our department back to honer after two years. It really a special and unforgettable experience inclusive of both the effort I made and the wonderful achievement I get that I will cherish it forever.
It is really a great experience that you joined this competition. It seemed that you tried lots of new things and had fun in them. Although the process might very tired and difficult, you finally did it perfectly. I am also happy about our department won the fourth prize. It not only proves your practicing but also brings our department back to honor.
